I wish they actually had Manson himself beat up but this is still great. The motorcycle reminded me of his Benjamin Button character at end of the movie, for a moment it felt like it was the same character. Stupids this shot did by duplicate not brad pitt. It is thought that Terry Melcher was the real target that night because he backed out of recording Manson's music. This is definitely a good movie. I just got done watching it and enjoyed it. There's not really much to say about the plot that hasn't already been understood by the publicity, but a few things stand out.
DiCaprio gives a stellar performance as a Western aging actor on the downswing of his career, with many memorable acting scenes, some where he is acting within his acting.
Pitt is also very good in his role as DiCaprio's stunt double. Robbie is excellent as Sharon Tate, and the other smaller roles are all played good enough.
The movie takes its time in building up, and I've seen some people complain it was slow or boring, but I'll be honest: while I noticed a couple of scenes dragged a little bit, I rather enjoyed it, and it didn't bother me, for the most part.
I liked some of Tarantino's creative choices and nuances a lot, but I did feel like there may have been a few opportunities missed to make it even better. However, with limited time and editing reasons, surely only so much could make it into the movie.
I wouldn't mind seeing more of Cliff Booth and Rick Dalton's adventures through Hollywood in 1969. This one took the audience through Bruce Lee and the infiltration of the Hippies, but it seems like there could be even more to their stories.
It's a solid film, and like one person pointed out: in an age of comic books and remakes, because the movie suffices on all levels, it was a nice experience to see something original.

Three things I was pleasantly surprised to see in a Tarantino film: 1. a memorable child performance 2. a memorable animal performance 3. a memorable flamethrower performance. Touching another mans car is no joke. And thus started one of the most satisfying scenes in movie history... Im gonna start martial arts and saw this when It came out, but I watched a Bruce Lee interview and he sounds really like Bruce, great actor who portrayed him. Whenever Tom is on it's actually Joe who's being interviewed. Austin powers vibes, yeah baby. Its like when youre with your friends and get into a fight on the street. Your friends-depending on honest they are-will give a different account of what happened. You could have fought someone until youre both exhausted and quit. Your friend will say you kicked his butt.

I love that they mute the word bastards toward the end yet have videos of Inglorious Basterds on their channel. I started to drink canned beer because of this scene. This makes me want to make Mac n Cheese. Mike: All she did was hold a knife. I guess you forgot the lessons from Surviving Edged Weapons.
